I have chosen to interview Sekemi because he is in the ranged of my target audience and she also of the working class which is perfect. I think that her opinions on R&B songs and videos will greatly help me when I start to finalize my ideas.


These are the questions that I asked and her responses:


1. Do you like listening to R&B songs, how often and why?

• Yes, I really like listening to R&B songs because they make me feel really relaxed and every time I listen to a song, it is really easy for me to relate to it because the video all have very heavy meanings to me.

2. Who do you look up to and like listening to and watching when it comes to R&B songs?

• I look up to Drake because when listening to his lyrics, it easy to tell that it is from the heart and life experience which means that it is easy for him to relate to everyone else. He helps portray that celebrities are also normal people.

3. What are the typical things that you like to see when watching a music video?

• The main artists and the people who act in it, how well they look in their designed clothing. Also the concept of the song is important to me because when it is good, I really keeps me interested.

4. What is your favourite video and why?

• Good Kisser by Usher. I like this music video because the choreography is crazy in a good why, and I think he casts the right people for dancing and singing, including himself.

5. What you are tired of seeing in R&B videos?

• I think that the typical R&B videos of the party scenes starting to bore me because its starting to get repetitive and I would prefer to see more concept based music videos.

6. When you're not busy, what do you like to do?

• Read books, play sport games like rounder's, go shopping with friends and I really like to go to concerts.
